Do You Need a Visa?

Before making your travel arrangements to Denmark for the International Conference on Coordination Chemistry, please check whether you will need a visa to enter the country. Denmark is part of the Schengen Area, and visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and length of stay. We recommend reviewing the official information well in advance to allow sufficient time for any necessary applications.

You can find up-to-date details about which countries require a visa and which are visa-free on the Danish Immigration Service website:

Visa Invitation Letters

Participants who require a visa to travel to Denmark for ICCC 2026 must first complete their conference registration. Registered participants who indicate that they require visa assistance during the registration process will automatically be included in the next visa support round.

Invitation letters are prepared by the conference organisers based on the information provided during registration and are submitted to the International Staff Office at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). The International Staff Office will then contact participants directly to collect any additional information required and submit the official visa invitation through the Danish system.

Once processed, participants will receive a visa invitation ID, which must be used when submitting their visa application. With support from SDU, visa invitation applications are typically processed within approximately 15 days, although final processing times with the authorities may vary.

Visa support documentation will be issued in the following rounds:

  • 17 April 2026 – following Early Bird registration closure
  • 17 May 2026 – following abstract submission closure
