The Cultural sites

The world famous children’s toy company LEGO (an abbreviation of the two Danish words “leg godt”, meaning “play well”) was founded in 1932. The original Legoland is located in Billund on the Jutland peninsula about an hours drive from Odense. For more information on the Legoland (hotel and tickets) see here.  

Billund has an international airport (BLL) linking with many European cities and is an alternative entry point to Copenhagen. It is 60 mins by car and 75 mins by bus & train from Odense.
